Breaking a year-plus hiatus from the ever-changing rap game, Offwhyte re-emerges with three certified head-nodding bangers on 'The Offwhyte Hi Fidelity Maxi-Single'. The record's title track, a dedication to the rapidly evolving phenomenon of underground hip hop, is produced by Meaty Ogre, as is the bonus cut, 'Compliments and Novelties', featuring bass accompaniment by Griffin Rodriguez. The standout of the record, however, is an ominous but solid track entitled 'Text', which showcases the talents of Psiv from the Chicago underground trio The Lyric District and is produced by the late Todd Sowka aka Metrognome, to whom the release is dedicated. Includes instrumentals to 'Hi Fidelity' and 'Text'. All songs will be featured on the upcoming Offwhyte album, 'The Fifth Sun', due out later this year on Galapagos4.
